About This Tool
A free browser-based tool that converts images to JPEG (.jpg / .jpeg). It supports seven input formats: PNG, WebP, HEIC (HEIF), AVIF, GIF, BMP, and SVG. Works on any device with a modern browser — no apps or sign-ups needed.
Your Images Stay on Your Device
All processing happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server, so it's safe to convert personal photos, ID scans, screenshots, or anything else you'd rather keep private.
iPhone Photos (HEIC) Made Easy
Photos taken on iPhones and iPads are often saved as HEIC files. These can be tricky to open on Windows PCs or share with Android users. Just drop your HEIC file here and get a JPEG that works everywhere — no extra apps required.
.jpg vs .jpeg — What's the Difference?
Nothing. They're the exact same format. The three-letter ".jpg" extension exists because older versions of Windows couldn't handle four-letter extensions. Some upload forms or job applications may specifically ask for ".jpeg" — this tool lets you pick either one so you can match whatever is required.
Resize & Quality Control
You can resize your image and adjust JPEG quality at the same time. Need a lighter file for social media? Slide the quality down. Want to keep every detail for printing? Keep it high. The aspect ratio is always preserved, so your image won't get stretched or squished.
Supported Formats
PNG (common for screenshots and illustrations), WebP (a modern web format by Google), HEIC / HEIF (used by iPhones and iPads), AVIF (a newer high-efficiency format), GIF (converts the first frame), BMP (a legacy Windows format), and SVG (vector graphics used for logos and icons).
